KOALA officially established its Water-based Wood Coatings R&D Center in 2005. After years of dedicated effort, particularly through joint experiments with companies such as Germany’s BAYER and BYK, along with its continuously improving R&D capabilities and its growing ability to customize products for clients, the company has achieved significant advancements in production technology, manufacturing processes, and after-sales service. The “oil-to-water” solution and functional replacements are now highly developed.

The one-component water-based wood coating, two-component water-based wood coating, water-based soft-touch coating, and water-based ultra-scratch-resistant coating products have gained recognition in both domestic and overseas markets. These products feature high gloss, excellent fullness, high film hardness, and a delicate, smooth texture. They fully comply with the national water-based coating environmental standard HJ 2537-2014 and the EU Toy Safety Standard EN71-3:2013.
